How Aamir Khan achieved the wide-eyed look for his character when shooting for PK

Aamir Khan points that his wide-eyed, no blink look in PK was producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s idea. He says that when his character PK was conceived everyone including director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra felt that something was missing. One day, Chopra arrived on the sets and came up with the idea of this character looking wide- eyed without blinking. But to actually do it, was easier said than done, according to Khan.
“It was very tough and very difficult to keep your eyes open without blinking because your eyes start watering and instinctively you blink. Initially, I found it very difficult to keep my eyes open for long period of time, but as I shot more and more scenes I got used to it. The trick I discovered while shooting was to focus my mind on something and think hard because if you do that your eyes stay open,” said Khan adding that the film is his most challenging till date!
PK is produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with UTV Motion Pictures. It releases on December 19.
