Alone has many firsts for Bipash Basu. Like it is for the first time that she is playing a double role, and though she has been tormented by ghosts in horror flicks like Aatma, it will be for the first time that the beautiful actress is playing a ghost. An adaptation of the Thai horror flick, Alone, the film, like the original is also a love story.
“The ghost is the villain in the triangle love story of two sisters and one guy. Born conjoined, the sisters were later separated through surgery, despite promising each other that they would never separate. So there’s talk about a broken promise. The poster signifies that the boy is the contention between the girls as both are in love with him. The first look sums up the story very well,” said director Bhushan Patel, on his third horror film, after 1920 -Evil Returns and Ragini MMS 2.
Produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Pradeep Agarwal and Prashant Sharma, Alone releases on January 16, 2015.
