Madhur Bhandarkar has been roped in as the Chairman of the Expert Committee on entertainment, media and sports of the Indian Merchants’ Chamber (IMC), the premier trade and industry body. Bhandarkar proposes to enhance the level of other activities under this committee and take up the policy issues and tax framework with the relevant authorities. The focus of activities will be growth with governance, IMC’s theme of the year. Earlier the committee was headed by Karan Johar, Manmohan Shetty and Balkrishna Shroff.

Rabiya Khan, mother of late actress Jiah Khan, who was found hanging at her Juhu home in 2013, has sought time from the Bombay High Court to file a reply to the defamation suit filed against her by Aditya Pancholi, his wife Zarina Wahab, and daughter, Sana. The Pancholis have filed a defamation suit of Rs.100 crore and sought restrain on Khan from further defaming them on social media. The suit alleges that Khan had posted slanderous, defamatory and abusive comments on Twitter, which has slandered the Pancholi family’s name in society.
