Rapper Lil Wayne has announced that he will release his new mixtape Sorry 4 The Wait 2 on January 20.

The 32-year-old rapper also released a freestyle video apologising to fans, saying: “Sorry for the wait, the confusion, the disturbance.” Sorry 4 The Wait 2 follows Sorry 4 The Wait, which was released in 2011.

Wayne recently appeared alongside Drake and Chris Brown in Nicki Minaj’s music video for ‘Only’.

The first installment of the rapper’s delayed double album Tha Carter V: Part One was previously due for release on December 9, but has since been pushed back. His last full-length studio album, Tha Carter IV, was also released in 2011.
