Justin Bieber blasts ‘clickbait stupidity’ after report claims he’s drowning in debt
Justin Bieber’s rep slams claims of financial struggle after his Justice World Tour was canceled, calling the reports “clickbait stupidity.” The singer addresses mental health rumors and personal struggles.

Justin Bieber’s representative has fired back at a recent report from The Hollywood Reporter titled “Justin Bieber’s Crisis of Faith?” which claimed the singer is struggling financially after cancelling his Justice World Tour in 2023. The report suggested that Bieber was millions of dollars in debt. It also featured commentary from some of Bieber’s former collaborators, who weighed in on the singer’s mental health amid rumours of drug use. In response, Bieber’s team called the piece “absolute stupidity,” labelling it as “clickbait” based on unreliable sources. The team issued a statement on Wednesday, firmly rejecting the claims.

Justin Bieber’s former collaborators on seeing him ‘disintegrate’
“Seeing him disintegrate like this … it’s watching the embodiment of someone not living their purpose,” an ex-team member of Bieber, who chose to remain anonymous, told THR on Wednesday. According to the individual, when you disagree with him, you risk being “blown out.” He added, “There’s no one protecting him because there’s no one there willing to say no to him.” Poo Bear who worked with the Yummy singer on major hits like Despacito and Where are You now said, “Whatever he’s going through, I pray for him and hope he’s OK.” The article also mentioned that Justin owed a lot of money — about $20 million — to the company AEG, which helped promote the Justice tour. It was claimed that the singer had been given a $40 million advance for the tour but had only returned a small part of that money.
In a statement released on April 16, 2025, to US Weekly, Bieber’s team denied the rumours, saying that any stories about him being in financial distress don’t understand the entertainment industry. The reps of the singer slammed the report, saying, “This is just clickbait stupidity based on unnamed — and clearly ill-informed — ‘sources,’ disappointed that they no longer work with Justin.” They continued, “As Justin forges his own way forward, these unnecessary stories and inaccurate assumptions will continue. But, they won’t deter him from staying committed to following the right path.”
Justin Bieber’s Instagram drama and public Behaviour
Justin Bieber has been quite active on social media lately, especially with his reflective posts—sometimes calling himself a fraud, other times realising his past mistakes, crying, and making unexpected appearances, even teasing his upcoming project. Rumours of trouble in paradise grew after Justin appeared to unfollow his wife, Hailey Bieber, on Instagram in January 2023.
The singer also addressed rumours about drug use and mental health issues, calling them “exhausting and pitiful” after reports surfaced that Hailey was extremely concerned about the singer and, in her inner circle, had asked friends to pray for him. In recent months, Justin has been more open about his mental health. He shared that he often feels unworthy and struggles with anger issues. In March 2023, he even posted on Instagram, “I think I hate myself sometimes when I feel myself start to become inauthentic,” explaining that sometimes he feels like a “fraud.”
Despite the challenges, Justin has been working on his new projects. He launched a fashion brand, Skylrk, in April 2025. The STAY singer also distanced himself from his longtime manager, Scooter Braun, to manage his career independently. This move is similar to what other successful artists like Taylor Swift have done.
