Astronomer CEO Andy Byron resigns, Kristin Cabot seen wearing wedding ring, with apparent husband before the Coldplay kiss cam scandal
Astronomer CEO Andy Byron has resigned after his kiss cam scandal with HR chief Kristin Cabot sparked an internal probe.

Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, has officially stepped down following the fallout from his kiss cam scandal at the Coldplay concert. A company rep confirmed the exit to Page Six late Saturday. Byron, who’s already married, was seen getting cosy with Astronomer’s HR chief, Kristin Cabot, during the Boston show, right before Chris Martin gave them a shoutout and they awkwardly ducked out of frame. The video blew up online, and despite initially denying it, Astronomer launched an internal investigation. Meanwhile, in a resurfaced photo believed to be taken before the incident, Kristin is seen wearing a wedding ring and posing with her family.
Astronomer’s CEO Andy Byron resigns
Earlier, a source familiar with the incident told Axios that both Byron and Kristin were placed on leave as the investigation played out. Now, a rep for the tech giant told the outlet, “As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.” They added, “Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as cofounder.”
Meanwhile, two days after the Coldplay incident, the company quietly named Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy as interim CEO. He’s been with Astronomer for eight years. That same day, Pete gave a thumbs-up on LinkedIn to a former staffer’s post about the scandal. Ex-Astronomer exec Zachary Hensley had shared a note saying he laughed at the memes but also pointed out the company is bigger than this mess. He praised the team and said he’s still rooting for them. DeJoy hit “like” on that post.

Kristin Cabot seen wearing wedding ring
Astronomer HR chief Kristin Cabot, in a newly resurfaced photo from May, is seen wearing a wedding ring, posing right next to her apparent CEO husband and their kids. Earlier, her marriage was said to have ended long ago, while Byron is still married to a woman named Megan Kerrigan Byron. But right after the video blew up, Megan dropped his last name from her Facebook and then deactivated her entire social media. No public statement since.

According to Page Six, Kristin had already divorced her first husband, Kenneth Thornby, back in 2022. But here’s the twist, photos now suggest she might be married to Andrew Cabot, CEO of a liquor company called Privateer Rum. Nothing confirmed, but speculation picked up because the two share a last name, co-own a $2.2 million home in Rye, New Hampshire (bought just five months ago), and Kristin is listed as a board member at Andrew’s company. Also, in that recent family photo, Andrew’s seen wearing a wedding ring too.
