Lokah Chapter 2: Dulquer Salman, Tovino Thomas join hands against a ‘violent’ force in new teaser. Watch

In a brand new teaser released by the makers of Lokah Chapter 1, Charlie played by Dulquer Salman and Michael played by Tovino Thomas talk about the next phase of their story.

No one had quite expected the kind of reception Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra received at the box office. The film has earned over Rs 280 crore worldwide and set a new standard for superhero films in the country. Now, the makers of the film are capitalising on the momentum of the first film and have released a small teaser-like video featuring Tovino Thomas and producer Dulquer Salmaan

The two men are seen sitting on the floor, tired and drinking. Michael (Tovino) is trying his best to make conversation, but Charlie (Dulquer) isn’t interested one bit. For context, Charlie is an Odiyan (a half-man and half-beast-like character belonging to Kerala folklore), while Michael is a Chattan (goblin). Michael pesters Charlie with questions about whether he killed Hitler after holding up a book titled ‘They Live Among Us’.

He proceeds to say, “Did you read this? It’s about us. The first chapter is about her, Kalliyankaattu Neeli. My Girl! Chapter two is all about me.” He then talks about his elder brother, a character which still hasn’t been introduced to the audience. He describes his brother as a “violent” force, and even Charlie hesitates to go against him because he is an “insane guy”. It seems like this unknown character will be the main antagonist of the next film.

Before leaving with his swords, Charlie states that he will come to face whatever threat arises, confirming a major role for him. While these two are pretty much confirmed for the next film, it still remains to be seen which other characters will be returning. Chapter 1 ended with Chandra promising to come back if needed, so it is likely that she too will be a part of the film.

Chapter 1 was directed by Dominic Arun, and the cast for the film included Kalyani Priyadarshan, Naslen, Sandy Master, Arun Kurian, Nishanth Sagar, Mammootty (voice), Aadam, Tovino and Dulquer.
