I did not really want a man that I could have: Diane Keaton
"I told myself I wanted to … but I didn't really want a man that I could have... I wanted the dream. I had some insane idea that I had to be 'in love.' Now I see what it really takes: real consideration that you're a good team together," Keaton said.

Veteran actress Diane Keaton says marriage could never be a part of her life as she kept waiting for her dream man.
The actress, who has been romantically linked to some of Hollywood’s biggest names including Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholson, Al Pacino and Sam Shepard, initially thought it required true love to make the marriage work, reported People magazine.

Mother to two adopted children daughter Dexter, 18 and son Duke, 16, the actress, who was in an on-off relationship in the 1980s with ‘Godfather’ co-star Al Pacino, now 74, said a long term marriage would not have been easy for him.
He was even less inclined to be realistic than me. And I was on the cusp of being very old. So that poor guy. I don’t think he was really that interested. And I don’t think a long-term happy marriage would be easy for him,” she said.
