In Mumbai as the celebrity guest at the FICCI convention,Jackman was a part of the valedictory session with Shah Rukh Khan as Karan Johar played host. As the house went up in applause upon his arrival with wife Deborra Lee-Furness,Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan introduced him. Women especially were seen craning their necks for a good look at the actor who looked dapper in a grey suit and short cropped hair.
Thanking the actress,who slipped out of the room soon after,he said,When I was told that Ill be introduced by the most beautiful actress in the world,I thought they meant my wife. After receiving the reaction he expected,Jackman added,I say this because Im a smart man,and also because my wifes seated in the front row.
As Johar,Khan and Jackman sat down for a chat,the Australian actor who is also an ardent cricket fan,started his note referring to the quarter final game on Thursday that Australia lost to India. At the gym this morning,I was given a strip with a thought for the day. It said,A mans worst failures are followed by big successes. After the game we lost yesterday,I knew that todays going to be a great day. And now that we have cricket out of the way,lets get chatting.
The two stars then spoke about playing superheroes on screen Jackman is known for his character Wolverine in the X-Men movies and Khan will be seen as one in Ra.One this year talking about the discomforts that theyve had to go through with their respective costumes. Khan then took the opportunity to teach the star a few Bollywood dance moves as he sang Dhak Dhak,which Jackman sportingly performed on stage. As Jackman promised to return,he told Khan that his next visit will be when Johar signs him on for My Name Is Khans sequel: And then Ill say,My name is Jackman,and Im not a tourist.
