Shoojit’s next on marriage

Shoojit Sircar and Ronnie Lahiri’s production venture starring Amit Sadh and Taapsee Pannu has been titled Running Shadi.com. Directed by debutant Amit Roy,the film is a romantic comedy. “This is different from my debut film in terms of its look and feel,” says Sadh. It is a coming-of-age film about a website that helps people elope and get married.

Siddharth is new Disney UTV MD

Ronnie Screwvala,who had taken over as the Managing Director of Disney UTV India in February 2012,has now stepped down. He will be succeeded by Siddharth Roy Kapur,who is presently the Managing Director of Disney UTV-Studios. Kapur will take over the company’s India operations effective from January 1,next year and Screwvala will assist in the transition till June 30.

Salman to promote Yaariyan

Squashing reports that Salman Khan will make an appearance in Divya Khosla Kumar’s debut directorial venture Yaariyan,producer Bhushan Kumar said that the actor would only be supporting the film. “We haven’t decided whether he will put in an appearance at the music launch of the film or promote the film on his show Bigg Boss,” he said.
