Rihanna scraps comeback gig
Rihanna has scrapped her comeback gig in Dubai.
Rihanna has scrapped her comeback gig in Dubai scheduled for this month due to bad timing.
The R&B lady, who has not performed since late January, was slated to return to the spotlight after her alleged beating at the hands of her former boyfriend Chris Brown in February.
According to show organisers Vibe Event Management, the concert was no longer running due to inappropriate timing for the singer.
“We want to share with you that Rihanna and her management will not be accepting to hold a public concert at this time as it is not appropriate timing for her,” Contactmusic quoted Managing director Yassin Matbouly as saying.
The Umbrella hitmaker had also cancelled gigs in Malaysia and Indonesia shortly after the alleged incident with Brown.
