Halle back on normal terms with ex

Berry,who is in a custody battle with her ex,Gabriel Aubry,seems to have patched up things.

Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry,who was involved in a bitter custody battle with her ex-boyfriend,seems to be back on normal terms with Gabriel Aubry.

The former couple have decided to put their differences behind for the sake of their three-year-old daughter Nahla,reported Extra online. “When there’s a child involved,it’s a relief when you can resolve things in a good way,” the 44-year-old actress said.

Berry,who is now dating French actor Olivier Martinez,said the court proceedings have gone well. “Our issues were never about fighting for her. We both know a child needs both her parents. But what I want to say about it is sometimes,as a couple,you reach an impasse. We needed a court and a judge to help us work out some of the delicate issues,and I’m so happy we’ve arrived at that place — because for her sake,this is the best way. We both love her more than life,” the actress added.

The couple split last April and then Aubry,a French-Canadian model,filed court papers on December 30 seeking formal recognition as Nahla’s father and joint legal and physical custody.

In January,Berry’s rep issued a statement saying,”Halle has serious concerns for her daughter’s well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time.”

A representative for Aubrey,34,soon responded. “The fact is that Gabriel is a caring father who shares custody of Nahla,” the statement read.
