Ewan Mcgregor in Madonna’s movie

Ewan Mcgregor has reportedly bagged the lead role in Madonna’s movie about the late British royal King Edward VIII.

The film – Madonna’s second stint as a director after Filth and Wisdom (2008) – is about the former Monarch who abdicated in 1936 to tie the knot with twice-divorced American socialite Wallis Simpson.

According to Screen Daily,the Scottish star,38,will play Edward in the upcoming flick,reports the Daily Star.

Vera Farmiga,will slip into Simpson’s shoes while Aussie actress Abbie Cornish is also expected to star in the movie.
