Elton John inspired by Bob Dylan
Elton John reveals he found inspiration in Bob Dylan's Modern Times.
Veteran musician Elton John has revealed he saw Bob Dylan as an inspiration, and the legendary American singer’s 2006 album ‘Modern Times’ persuaded him to keep making his own music.
The 66-year-old ‘Rocket Man’ hitmaker is all set to release ‘The Diving Board’,his first album in seven years, reported Independent online.
“It floored me,that someone of Dylan’s great output could come across and make an album like that at his age, which was for me so timeless and sounded so brilliant,” John said.
“I thought,’Well,if I’m going to make a record again,I’ve got to make it sort of sounding like that, because that’s how I like my records to sound’,” he said.
