Deols gain on BO
Yamla Pagla Deewana has netted in Rs 22.8 crores in it's first weekend.

With Yamla Pagla Deewana’s excellent beginning,the momentum that had been created by No One Killed Jessica has been sustained. The Deol extravaganza has been appreciated by audiences far and wide,earning Rs 22.8 crores net in it’s first weekend.
The film,which has been touted as a comic riot has had a great run in North India (exceptional in Punjab) and on single screens throughout the country. Yamla Pagla… reaped around Rs 7.95 crores on Friday,Rs 6.60 crores on Saturday and Rs 8.25 crores on Sunday.
Keeping in mind that neither the Deols nor director Samir Karnik have had a grand run at the box office in recent times,the performance of Yamla Pagla Deewana has been encouraging indeed.
The film,however,has not had a great run in Mumbai and the Southern region,.with multiplexes not contributing a lot to it’s net earnings.
Meanwhile,No One Killed Jessica gathered momentum with each passing day and is doing well in it’s second weekend. The film has collected an approx. Rs. 4.22 crores net in its second weekend. The breakup:- Fri: 1.25 crores,Sat: 1.42 crores and Sun: 1.55 crores. The Rani-Vidya starrer has earned a total Rs. 24.72 crores till now.
