Why was Priyanka Chopra missing from first teaser trailer of ‘Gunday’

Though in films like ‘Ram-Leela’ and ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’,Deepika Padukone and Vidya Balan were pretty much present right through the promos,it was understandable since former is a dramatic love story while latter is an urban romcom. Hence,it was pretty much expected that a leading lady would be out there on the forefront.

“Well,for that matter,Priyanka Chopra too is an integral part of ‘Gunday’,” says a source close to the film,”She would be highlighted prominently very soon. What we have seen is just a teaser so far and since the film has Ranveer and Arjun as Gunday,it made sense to unveil them first.”

In fact Irrfan,who has an interesting role to play in the film,finds his place in the teaser as well since it is his voiceover that introduces the character.

On her part though,Priyanka Chopra isn’t bothered one bit and while she joined her co-stars in publicizing the teaser on social networking sites,she was also sporty enough to joke that her momentarily absence had a reason behind it.

When contacted and quizzed about the missing act,she said with a smile,”It’s okay,achchi cheez ka intezaar karna padta hai.”

Well,we are waiting for sure,especially since the lady is expected to be seen in a retro ‘desi’ avatar in the film.

Just like Katrina Kaif’s mega introduction through the title song of ‘Dhoom 3’,will Priyanka Chopra too make a song-n-dance entry? We would know pretty soon!
