Actor Akshay Kumar is known to be one of the most health-conscious actors in Bollywood, but he too in the past has given into the temptations of indulging in alcohol occasionally. In one of the episodes of Salman Khan’s then-hosted show 10 Ka Dum, Akshay appeared a gust contestant and shared a fun anecdote.
In a video shared by a Reddit user, Akshay told Salman that he gets high after drinking even a little bit of wine. He added that while everyone else acts rowdy or funny when they get drunk, he starts cooking. This confession by Akshay left everyone in the audience in splits, including Katrina Kaif, who was also part of that episode.
Akshay said, “Main itni si wine p leta hun to mujhe nasha aa jata hai (even if I drink little wine, I get drunk).” To this Salman said, “Mujhe bhi (me too)”. The Airlift actor further said, “Nashe mein log haste hai, gaate hai, gir jaate hai, gussa ho jaate hai, main khana banana shuru kar deta hun. Main apni aukaat pe aa jata hun (When people get drunk, they sing, dance, fall down, get angry but I start cooking. I come back to my basic status)”.

Akshay was referring to his old days when before becoming an actor, he was a chef in a restaurant. The actor further said that he doesn’t just stop at cooking after getting drunk but also makes wife Twinkle Khanna eat whatever he cooks.
“And I see to it that my wife eats what I make. I stand next to her and tell her to eat. I make paranthas,” said Akshay. To this Salman told the audience, “He makes really good food. He makes variety of dishes.”
Reddit users were quick to notice Akshay’s dressing style. In the episode, Akshay was wearing a leopard print shirt and a gold chain. A user wrote, “Akshay was Ranveer”, while another one wrote, “Akshay Kumar before 2014, when he was free to wear whatever accessories he wanted, and not bound by fake image conscious to fit into right wing mould”.
Akshay and Katrina have worked together in several films including Namaste London and Singh Is Kingg. Akshay and Salman too, have given hit films like Mujhse Shaadi Karoge and Jaan-E-Mann.
