When Aishwarya Rai credited Alia Bhatt’s success to Karan Johar: ‘The kind of support Karan has given to her..’

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had earlier opened up about Alia Bhatt's success and how Karan Johar supported her from the very beginning.

Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, in an old interview, spoke candidly about Karan Johar’s constant support for Alia Bhatt from the very beginning of her career. Alia had everything laid out in front of her, according to Rai, who said that Karan put “good opportunities and work” in her lap.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama in 2018, Rai was asked about the one thing she would like to ask Alia. The actor replied and said that she has nothing to ask her but she would like to tell her ‘way to go.’

She continued, “I have said this to her (Alia Bhatt) also, ‘It’s fantastic for you’. The kind of support Karan Johar has given to her from the beginning, and to have that kind of an establishment with you is very comforting because you know it is not tough. You can have it all laid out for the longest time. And she smiled. It’s great where you as an actor know there are only good opportunities ahead.”

Aishwarya also praised Alia and said, “But what’s nice is she is also doing good work, along with great opportunities which are virtually there literally on her lap.”

On the work front, Alia was last seen in the film Brahmastra. She will next star in Karan’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani opposite Ranveer Singh. As for Aishwarya, she will next be seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2.
