Vikrant Massey says Vidhu Vinod Chopra is a ‘very difficult person to work with’: ‘People don’t like him because he tells you the truth’
In a recent interview, Vikrant Massey shared why many people in the film industry find it difficult to work with director Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

Actor Vikrant Massey, who worked with director Vidhu Vinod Chopra on 12th Fail, recently shared that he considers the director to be his father figure in the film industry. He shared that even though VVC is a difficult person o work with, he aspires to be like him when he is 72.
In a chat with Faye D’Souza on her YouTube channel, Vikrant said, “People use polite words like he is different, unusual, but he is a very difficult person to work with. The first thing that comes to mind on hearing he is difficult, is if he is badly behaved?” Vikrant then explained that Vidhu is a “pre” person who just comes out with the truth.
“He is so pure as a person, even after 45 years of filmmaking and tasting the success that very few have, he retains that purity and childlike quality to go out there, and tell a story the way he wants to tell it,” he said.
“His worldview is phenomenal, I hope I can be him or any way close to him when I am 72. A lot of people don’t like him because he tells you the absolute truth on your face. All of us are conditioned in a way that we want people to tell us the truth, but we also don’t want to listen to it. And when it comes from an absolute stranger then you just feel he is a very rude person. He treats his family and strangers the same way. He is a very straightforward man, and I wish him the best in everything in life. I thoroughly love him, he is my father figure in the Hindi film industry,” Vikrant added.
Vikrant will next be seen in The Sabarmati Report.
