Celebrated choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant brought in her 50th birthday on 17th December. Vaibhavi rang in her golden jubilee with her friends from the film industry. The party was attended by Ranveer Singh, Rani Mukerji, Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, and others. Revisiting a very special night, Vaibhavi shared some glimpses from the celebration on her social media along with a heartfelt note about turning 50.
Sharing photos from the celebrations, Vaibhavi wrote, “To my Friends…thank you all for being there…I began my journey at 5, learning how to dance, at 17, how to work in films & now at 50…how to still be relevant & do the best I can… Each & everyone I invited were all too special to me as they have all been an integral part of my journey… I took this moment to pause, express gratitude & honour each & everyone of you who celebrated my special day with me & my Family. Thank you…Thank you all for being by my side…Will cherish this forever. Love, Vaibhavi.”
Reacting to Vaibhavi’s note, Ranveer, Sunita Kapoor, and Karan dropped heart emojis, while Farah Khan commented, “Happy birthday, my darling Vaibhssss! Your birthday lunch is pending at mine.” In the pictures, while Vaibhavi was seen indulging in a fun conversation with Karan Johar, Anil and Sunita Kapoor, in another photo, she was seen chatting up with Dhurandhar star Ranveer Singh.
Vaibhavi Merchant worked with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. She choreographed the song Dhindora Baaje Re from the Karan Johar directorial and also won a National Award for the same.
Vaibhavi Merchant has choreographed on films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, Baghbaan, Veer-Zaara, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, etc. She has also appeared as a dance reality show judge on Nach Baliye 3, Jhalak Dikkhlaa Jaa 3, Zara Nachke Dikha 2, and Just Dance.
