(Uorfi/Instagram) Uorfi Javed stands out as one of those few celebrities whose every move, whether big or small, consistently captures media attention and generates headlines. Despite frequently facing criticism, the social media icon has remained steadfast in expressing her opinions openly.
During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Uorfi Javed candidly spoke about facing a legal notice of Rs 40 lakhs for refusing to do intimate scenes in a show. She revealed that she had suicidal thoughts when she received the notice.
“I was sued early on in my career. I was issued a legal notice for Rs 40 lakh for refusing to participate in a web series that required intimate scenes, which I was not okay with,” Uorfi shared.
She added, “I was scared back then and even had suicidal thoughts. I now realise that the said incident happened to prepare me for today. Currently, I am facing several legal notices and cases. A new case is filed against me every day. So, if that incident hadn’t occurred back then, I would be running around scared at this moment. Now I understand the consequences and everything associated with it (legal matters).”
Uorfi also said that she has no complaints about the struggles of her life as she believes that each challenge that she faced, made her a better person.
“For some reason, I feel that whatever happened in my life had to happen to shape me into the person that I am today. There are a lot of things like that. Had I not left my home at the age of 16, how would I have reached here? At that time, I thought, ‘why god? why me?’ But now I realise that these things are important for character building. Only when that happens you will begin making the right decisions. Even if the decisions end up being wrong, it’s important… to learn lessons, which will help you later,” she said.

When Uorfi Javed called out Gadar 2 actor Ameesha Patel
Uorfi had recently called out Gadar 2 actor Ameesha Patel for her homophobic comment. During the promotional activities of the film, Ameesha had said that OTT platforms “were full of homosexuality, gay-lesbianism”.
Displeased with Ameesha’s comments, Uorfi took it upon herself to educate the actor. She remarked, “What is actually gayism, lesbianism? Keep your children away from it? So when she said ‘kaho na Pyar hai’ she meant only straight people. Public figures speaking without educating themselves on such sensitive topics really irks me! Not getting work for 25 years has made her into a very bitter person.”
