After the rumours of Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s divorce started on social media, the couple’s lawyer declared that Sunita had previously filed for a divorce but now, the two are back together. Lalit Bindal, who is the actor’s lawyer and also a friend of the family, said that the couple is “going strong” after 37 years of marriage.
He shared with India Today that Sunita had indeed filed for a divorce six months ago, but they sorted out their differences and are now back together. He also mentioned that they travelled to Nepal to celebrate the New Year and insisted that “they will always be together.” He said, “We also travelled to Nepal during the New Year and performed puja together at Pashupati Nath Mandir. Everything is fine between them now. Such things keep happening between couples, but they are going strong and will always be together.”
Previously, Govinda’s nephew Krushna Abhishek told SCREEN that the couple could never think about getting a divorce. “Not possible. They will never do this,” he said. His niece Arti Singh told News 18 that the news of their divorce was “false.” “These are just speculations because their bond is so strong. They have built a strong and loving relationship over the years so how can they get divorced? I don’t know where people get all such rumours from, completely untrue. People should refrain from spreading misinformation about their personal lives,” she said.
