Sikandar trailer: And just like that, Bhai has made his comeback to our screens — and that too with a bang, as always — almost making one believe he was never really away. The highly anticipated trailer of director AR Murugadoss’ Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, is finally here, delivering everything one expects from a Bhai film and more.
The three-minute, 37-second trailer opens with a wanted poster of Sanjay Rajkot (Salman Khan), a man with 49 cases registered against him over the past five years. However, it soon becomes evident that he is not a typical criminal and that every action he has taken has been for a greater cause. “A hundred mistakes made with a good heart can be forgiven, but there is no apology for even a single mistake committed intentionally,” he asserts.
However, things take a turn when he arrives in Mumbai. Though he initially struggles, Sikandar quickly regains control of his muqaddar (fate), paving his way to victory step by step. Touted as a political action thriller, the power-packed trailer also features a dialogue that draws parallels to Salman’s real life. “Bahut neta jail gaye hain, abhineta bhi (Many leaders have gone to jail, even actors). Nobody is above the law,” he declares, setting the tone for the film. “I have enough popularity that, if not as PM or CM, I could at least become an MLA or MP,” he adds.
While Salman Khan takes on the role of Sanjay Rajkot in the movie, Rashmika Mandanna plays Saisri and Sathyaraj portrays Minister Pradhan. Penned by Murugadoss himself, Sikandar marks Salman’s return in a lead role after 16 months, following the release of Maneesh Sharma’s Tiger 3 (2023), which fell short of box-office expectations. Though he appeared in 2024’s movies such as Singham Again and Baby John, both were cameo roles.

Interestingly, part of the excitement surrounding Sikandar is also due to the presence of Rashmika, who is currently riding high on a wave of success with her last three films — Animal (2023), Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024) and Chhaava (2025) — emerging as national blockbusters.
While Sikandar’s cinematography is handled by S Thirunavukarasu alias Tirru, with editing by Vivek Harshan, Pritam has composed its songs, with lyrics by Sameer. Acclaimed South Indian composer Santhosh Narayanan has crafted the movie’s background score. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Sikandar is set to hit theatres next Sunday (March 30), coinciding with the festive occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
