As anticipated,John Abraham’s Shootout At Wadala had a good,very good and terrific start in its morning shows.

The opening shows in several centres of U.P.,Ahmedabad,Pune,Indore,Jaipur and other key stations was 60 per cent to 70 per cent,which can easily be termed as one of the best starts of the year.

In view of the fact that Mumbai-centric (gangster) films open better in Mumbai/Maharashtra than other circuits,the start outside Mumbai/Maharashtra brought about abundant cheer within the industry.

Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout At Wadala should get a big boost when single screens shows commence from afternoon onwards.

The film has had an extensive release and the first day total is expected to pack a solid punch.

Bombay talkies,helmed by four top notch directors – Karan Johar,Anurag Kashyap,Dibaker Banerjee and Zoya Akhtar – had a limited release across the country.

The film has been targeted at multiplexes and the distributors have very wisely,released it in limited shows.

Although the start was lukewarm,the business is expected to grow during evening and night shows,since the pre-release reports and reviews have been fantastic.
