Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Geet and Shahid Kapoor’s Aditya have remained fan-favorite characters since the release of the 2007 film Jab We Met. In July 2024, when SCREEN asked filmmaker Imtiaz Ali where does he see Geet and Aditya today, he quickly answered, “At a divorce lawyer’s office.” His answer left the audience at the Expresso event held in Hyderabad in splits. On Friday, Shahid Kapoor shared his take on where the much-loved couple from Jab We Met would be today.

Shahid, who attended SCREEN Live in Mumbai, was shown Imtiaz’s answer at the Expresso event. Shahid laughed and said, “That’s actually a fun idea that Geet and Aditya are now breaking up because they are frustrated with each other. Aditya is like, ‘She is her own favourite, who can ever put up with her?'”

When pointed out that he is breaking a lot of fans’ hearts with his answer, Shahid quickly replied, “If our filmmaker thinks these two will divorce each other, then who am I to come in between? I am just an actor.”
