Sara Ali Khan’s aunt Saba Pataudi defends her performance in Ae Watan Mere Watan: ‘Don’t judge something until…’
While defending Sara Ali Khan's performance in Ae Watan Mere Watan, Saba Pataudi also gave a shout-out to her brother-in-law Kunal Kemmu for his directorial debut Madgaon Express.

Amidst the film opening to not-very-good reviews by film critics, Saba Pataudi has defended her niece’s acting in the movie.
Saba took to Karan Johar’s post to respond to netizens criticising Sara’s performance in the film, following her performance in Netflix’s Murder Mubarak. Responding to the negative comments, Saba wrote, “DONT judge something until you’ve seen it FIRST. She’s actually brilliant! Mahsha’Allah.” Karan Johar’s has backed the film under his banner Dharma Productions.

Saba responded to a comment where a user had written how the film’s theme looks interesting and questioned Sara’s acting. Screenshot of the exchange here:

Saba is Sara’s father, Saif Ali Khan’s elder sister. She is the daughter of Sharmila Tagore and Tiger Pataudi. She often shares inside pictures of their family including that of Saif and Kareena’s sons Taimur and Jeh. She also shares heartfelt good wishes for Sara and her brother Ibrahim, her sister Soha and her family.
Saba also took to her Instagram story to give a shot-out to Sara’s film. Sharing pictures Sara and Kunal Kemmu’s directorial Madgaon Express’ hoardings set up in Mumbai, she wrote, “Familia…moments ❤️Great movies… one with madness, fun and insane laughter! The other based on true events and deep thoughts. Must watch both 💞.”
She also shared a collage of pictures with the cast of Madgaon Express — Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary — and Kunal Kemmu, who made his directorial debut with the film, and wrote, “Loved this movie and SO proud of all those responsible to create n direct this super fun riot! 😁 Missed taking pictures with some of the members. Kunal… coolest bro!”
On the work front Sara was last seen in Netflix’s Murder Mubarak, which was appreciated by film critics. After Ae Watan Mere Watan, Sara will be seen in Anurag Basu’s Metro… In Dino and Jagan Shakti’s untitled project.
