Putting all speculations to rest about Sanjay Dutt doing a cameo in his own biopic, Rajkumar Hirani told IndianExpress.com that he will not be acting in it.

“He is not in the film,” Hirani told us.

Hirani also revealed that he has not met Sanjay Dutt for a long time and would be meeting him once he is released from prison.

When asked how involved Sanjay would be in the scripting and filmmaking process, Hirani said, “He will be. After all, the film is about him. He has been narrating it.”

Sanjay Dutt will be walking out a free man on February 25.
