Reema Jain says Farah Khan’s cook Dilip reminds her of ‘Raj Kapoor’s guru’ Charlie Chaplin, filmmaker says, ‘Moochein chotta kar de thoda’
In Farah Khan's latest YouTube vlog, the filmmaker-choreographer visited Raj Kapoor's daughter Reema Jain's Mumbai house.
Reema Jain says Farah Khan's cook Dilip reminds her of 'Raj Kapoor's guru' Charlie ChaplinFarah Khan and her cook Dilip are back with another fun YouTube vlog. The popular duo recently visited the luxurious Mumbai home of Raj Kapoor’s daughter Reema Jain and her son Armaan Jain. The house features several cherished possessions of Raj Kapoor and his wife Krishna Raj Kapoor, including a carpet, lamp, cabinet, and multiple paintings. During the vlog, Farah also recalled receiving a rare phone call from Rishi Kapoor, who praised her film Om Shanti Om.
The vlog started with Armaan hugging Dilip before Farah, as he welcomed them to his house. After offering them a refreshing jamun welcome drink, he gave them a tour of the swanky abode. Inside one of the rooms, there was a wooden cabinet which had special belongings of his grandparents. He showed Farah a telephone diary maintained by Krishna Raj. The filmmaker-choreographer even spotted her own phone number in the notebook. At the end, there were many pages filled with Kapoor family’s famous food recipes, including the mutton yakhni pulao.
When Armaan Jain showcased their glass collection, Farah Khan revealed that she drew inspiration for the glass globe featuring a boy and girl dancing at the centre in Om Shanti Om from Rishi Kapoor’s Bobby. She also recalled another anecdote of her film Main Hoon Na, and said, “When I was trying to find a college for the film, I had gone mad hunting for it. I was watching Mera Naam Joker and asked Dabboo (Rishi Kapoor) about the college and he told me it was St. Paul’s in Darjeeling. I went there and shot the film. Have stolen many things from his films, even Raj Kapoor’s.”

Farah also shared that while Rishi doesn’t speak a lot of words of praise, he called her to appreciate her film Om Shanti Om. Farah shared, “He never used to praise. What a film you have made! If my father had seen it, he would be very proud of you. That for me was the ultimate thing. He thought that the fire scene had grandeur, and it reminded him of his father Raj Kapoor’s films.”
Followed some delicious vegetarian snacks, Reema Jain joined them for a fun conversation. Farah announced her as the star of the show and received a few gifts from Reema. Pointing out to Dilip, Reema said, “Raj Kapoor had a Guru – Charlie Chaplin, you remind me of him.” She then enacted him by making different funny expressions. “Moochein chotta kar de (trim your moustache),” Farah quipped.
The group then moved to the kitchen to cook mutton yakhni pulao, with Armaan Jain proving adept at preparing the delicacy. While the food was cooking, Farah Khan handed out several gifts to the family. Towards the end of the vlog, they sampled both versions of the pulao, one made by Dilip and the other by the Jains.
