Prabhudheva reveals he choreographed Lakshya’s ‘Main Aisa Kyun Hoon’ in one hour: ‘Hrithik Roshan was magical’
Prabhudheva said that Hrithik Roshan was a 'terrific dancer' when he worked on Lakshya's Main Aisa Kyun Hoon.

Prabhudheva, who choreographed Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Main Aisa Kyun Hoon’ from the film Lakshya, has opened up about how he completed the entire choreography in just one hour. The choreography earned him his second National Film Award for Best Choreography.
In an interview with O2india, Prabhudheva revealed that Farhan Akhtar booked his dates one year in advance and the choreographer was quite shocked when he saw how intricately director Farhan Akhtar had planned the entire shoot. Talking about Hrithik’s performance, he said, “Hrithik was magical. Shankar Mahadevan’s composition was fantastic. As I kept listening to it, it kept growing on me. That was the unique quality of that song. Full credit must be given to Hrithik. Whatever I did, looked nice on screen. He was too good.”
He added, “We did the entire choreography within one hour. The song was so inspiring. I could visualize the song perfectly in my mind. I only had to execute it for the camera. We blocked it for one hour. Nobody would believe me. I am saying this on record for the first time. I did it in one hour.”
Talking about his experience, Prabhudeva recalled how working with a non-Indian cinematographer was a “unique experience” for him. The film’s cinematography was handled by Christopher Popp.
Prabhudheva recalled, “The cinematographer was a foreigner. It was a unique experience. He asked me, “How would you jump? How many foot? I spoke with Farhan, ‘What is this? We are Indians. We have our own ways of working. And the cinematographer is asking strange questions’. He wanted all the details measured. Where as we just positioned our camera…and danced. After that Farhan started handling the cinematographer.”
The song is still known as one of Hrithik Roshan’s best dance videos.
