Neha Kakkar booed on stage after arriving 3 hours late at Melbourne concert, breaks down: ‘Yeh Indian Idol nahi hai’
Neha Kakkar broke down on stage after being booed at her Melbourne concert for arriving three hours late.

Singer Neha Kakkar was left in tears after being booed by the audience at her Melbourne concert for arriving three hours late. Despite her emotional appeal and apology, a section of the crowd remained unimpressed, accusing her of being unprofessional. While some audience members accepted her apology and clapped to boost her morale, others continued to express their disappointment.
A video of Neha breaking down on stage in Melbourne has gone viral on social media. Amid the loud booing, Neha addressed the audience and apologized, saying, “Guys, you are really sweet! You have been patient. Itni der se aap log wait kar rahe ho. I hate it, maine life mein kabhi kisi ko wait nahi karwaya hai. Aap itni der se wait kar rahe ho (You have been waiting for me for so long. I hate it, I have never made anyone wait in my life but you are waiting for me).”
She added, ” I’m so sorry! It means a lot to me. I will remember this evening forever. Aaj aap log mere liye itna kimti time nikaal kar aaye ho (People are still taking out tehir precious time for me). I will make sure that I will make you all dance.”

However, her reassurance didn’t pacify the audience. In the viral clip, an attendee can be heard shouting, “Go back! Rest in your hotel.” Another concertgoer remarked, “This is not India, you’re in Australia.” A third person made a sharp comment, “Very good acting! Yeh Indian Idol nahi hai. Bachchon ke saath nahi gaa rahi ho (This isn’t Indian Idol, you are not singing with the kids).” The audience also accused her of only performing for an hour after arriving 3 hours late to the concert. An audience member wrote, “Came to the stage at 10pm for a 7:30 show. Then doing drama of crying. Then wrapped up in less than an hour. Such a crap concert, heights of unprincipled.”
Despite the controversy, the Coca Cola singer is trying to stay positive. On Tuesday, she shared a photo of herself having lunch with her pet dog, captioning it, “Positivitea.”

Neha Kakkar has served as a judge on the singing reality show Indian Idol multiple times. She is known for chartbuster songs like “London Thumakda,” “Kala Chashma,” “Kar Gayi Chull,” “Aankh Maarey,” and more.
