Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee, who will next be seen in the film Bandaa, narrated a hilarious anecdote from his childhood days when he and his siblings got high on bhaang. Bajpayee amusingly revealed that, contrary to his mother’s disapproval, his father would give him bhaang when he was just eight years old.

On the podcast Cyrus Says, Manoj said, “Bhaang was a part of our growing up years. They used to give the kids. During Holi, when I was around eight-nine years old, my father gave me half glass thandaai. My mother used to get so angry on him. Saare bacche jo hain, tun hooke pade hue hain.”

The actor also described the aftermath and added, “We were six siblings plus parents. So they would make around 3 kgs of mutton in my house. One Holi, we were so high on bhaang that we finished 3 kgs of mutton. My mother did not utter a word. All of us were drunk on bhaang, we were flying.”

Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai is an upcoming courtroom drama helmed by Apoorv Singh.  The film is scheduled to be released on May 23 on ZEE5.
