Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor posted a video of their latest dance, calling it the "Dance of E̶n̶v̶y̶ Friendship", a spin on the "Dance of Envy" track from Dil To Pagal Hai.

More than 25 years after the events of Dil To Pagal Hai, where would Madhuri Dixit’s Pooja and Karisma Kapoor’s Nisha be? On Instagram, dancing to Balam Pichkari. The duo on Wednesday surprised their fans with a reunion of sorts, making everyone relive the Yash Chopra classic.

In the 1997 romantic drama, Madhuri and Karisma played dancers who get caught up in a love triangle with their choreographer Rahul, played by Shah Rukh Khan. In of the most talked about sequences from the film, Pooja and Nisha have a dance off to a pulsating Uttam Singh composed track called “The Dance of Envy”.

On Wednesday, when the duo posted a video of their latest dance, they captioned the post, “Dance of E̶n̶v̶y̶ Friendship ✅🧡✨🤗”. Along with the video, in which the two are seen shaking a leg to Pritam’s chartbuster track from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Madhuri and Karisma also shared happy pictures of their reunion. The duo used the hashtags “DTPH”, “dance partner” and “forever” for their post.

Actor Kareena Kapoor called them “The OG SuperStars” in the comment section, while Bhumi Pednekar wrote, “Icons”. Many fans of the stars wrote that the video was a pleasant reminder of Dil To Pagal Hai, while one commented, “Shah Rukh ki kami hai bas (Only Shah Rukh is missing). Beautiful to see them together.”

On the work front, Madhuri was last seen on the feature film Maja Ma, which premiered on Prime Video in 2022. The same year, she headlined the Netflix thriller The Fame Game, which was backed by Karan Johar. Karisma, meanwhile, will be next seen in Brown, a project directed by Abhinay Deo of Delhi Belly fame. Backed by Zee Studios, Brown is based on the book City of Death by Abheek Barua.
