Kartik Aaryan, who is set to appear in Kabir Khan’s Chandu Champion, recently took to Instagram to share an intriguing behind-the-scenes story from the film. He posted a picture from the film’s set, revealing that he shot an 8-minute-long single-shot war sequence at an altitude of 9000 feet above sea level. The actor described it as the “most memorable shot” of his career.
In the shared image, Kartik is seen holding a gun in the midst of a battle. Describing his experience filming the war scene, he wrote, “This 8 minutes long single-shot war scene turned out to be the most challenging, spectacular and yes, difficult but also the most memorable shot of my acting career. The scene Kartik referred to in his post was filmed in the picturesque Aru Valley in Jammu and Kashmir, situated 9000 feet above sea level, where the team constructed a massive army camp set. The preparation for this war sequence involved five days of intensive rehearsals with Kartik Aaryan, Vijay Raaz, and Bhuvan Arora. On the sixth day, the team executed the sequence, capturing the essence of dramatic wartime events.
Previously, Kartik shared a video from his time shooting the film in Kashmir, showcasing his “first-time experience of an ice bath in a river in Kashmir.” Alongside the clip, Kartik wrote, “Wrapping up a power-packed action schedule with a first-time experience of an Ice bath in the river that too in Kashmir.”
Chandu Champion marks Kartik’s first collaboration with Kabir Khan and his second with producer Sajid Nadiadwala. The film is scheduled for release on June 14, 2024.
