Kareena Kapoor asks Aditya Roy Kapur about his relationship status; actor denies he’s commitment phobic: ‘Been in five-year-long relationships’

On the show, Kareena Kapoor said people want to know if Aditya Roy Kapur is single or taken and then asked him about his relationship status, acknowledging that the actor rarely talks about his personal life. He was also once upon a time reportedly dating his Aashiqui 2 co-star Shraddha Kapoor.

“My status? Is chilling a status? I am a chiller!” he quipped. When Kareena said that he gives the vibe of a “chhupa rustam”, the actor laughed and said, “Good, let it (relationship status) be a mystery.”

When Kareena Kapoor asked if he is commitment phobic, Aditya Roy Kapur said he has had “many relationships” over his “aged” life. The actor added, “I can’t say I am commitment phobic because I have had long relationships when I was younger, through my 20s. Relationships that would last five or three years. So no, I am not commitment phobic. But you have to be compelled to get into something with someone and feel like wanting it. You shouldn’t get into it because you don’t like being on your own. If you are feeling lonely, that’s not a reason.”

Kareena then asked Aditya to list the qualities he finds desirable in a woman, to which the actor said, “Sense of humour, being honest, someone who speaks their mind is an attractive thing and being passionate about something that they’re doing.”
