Jasmin Bhasin reveals why she dropped out of Vikram Bhatt film that was set to be her Bollywood debut: ‘It was a sign from the universe…’

After starring in the Punjabi film Honeymoon with Gippy Grewal, Jasmin Bhasin was all set to make her Bollywood debut with a project backed by Vikram Bhatt and written by Mahesh Bhatt.

Former Bigg Boss contestant Jasmin Bhasin, who mostly appears in television shows and regional films, was reportedly all set to make her Bollywood debut with a Hindi movie backed by filmmaker Vikram Bhatt‘s production house. However, the actor recently revealed that she had to “step back” from the project, which was to be written by Mahesh Bhatt.

In a recent interview, Jasmin shared that the film was to be helmed by Vikram Bhatt’s associate, but “things did not work out,” as shooting for the film was first scheduled to start when she was busy shooting her Punjabi film Honeymoon, with Gippy Grewal.

“We were supposed to shoot that film when I was doing Honeymoon and hence it got postponed a little. Eventually we reached a stage where I did not have the dates and the movie was supposed to go on the floor,” Jasmin told The Times of India. She then revealed that she took it as a “sign from the universe” that the film kept getting pushed, and hence dropped out of the project. Jasmin said that she apologised to Bhatt for not being able to do the film, and thanked him for the opportunity.

Jasmin has been a part of TV shows such as Dil Se Dil Tak, Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, Naagin 4: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel, and others. Apart from Honeymoon, which was released last year, Jasmin was last seen in a web series titled Jab We Matched, which streamed online on Amazon Mini TV. Jasmin’s fans are also excited for her to tie the knot with her boyfriend Aly Goni, whom she met during Khatron Ke Khiladi in 2019, the two confessed that they are in love when they appeared on Bigg Boss in 2020. The couple recently took a trip to Madrid together.
