Actors Jaaved Jafferi and Ajay Devgn recently worked together in De De Pyaar De 2, and in a new interview, Jaaved talked about how one of the ‘pranks‘ played by Ajay had him feeling like he should be finalising his will. Jaaved recalled that the incident happened on Holi when Jaaved innocently ate some food, and did not realise that it was mixed with bhaang.
In a chat with Radio Mirchi, he said that Devgn is very mischievous on sets and often plays pranks on his co-stars. “This is the first time I am working with Ajay. He is younger than me, but he is truly a very nice person, very quiet. But he still plays these pranks on people. He played one on me where he had put bhaang in food. So I don’t drink or smoke, and there was something going on during Mahashivratri at the hotel we were staying in. There was a lot of food there, so I ate heartily.”

Jafferi added that the substance hit him after a while, and it really took him by surprise. He said, “I was having a conversation with someone, and it was about something very deep. Suddenly, I start feeling this whole thing. I told him that I think ‘something is wrong, and I need to go to the room.’ It was very weird, and I went into this zone where I thought I was falling into a black hole. I called my assistant, and I was telling him to call my wife, almost like I was giving my last will. I also called Meezaan (his son) because I didn’t know what was happening to me.”
“Baad mai pata chala ki yeh Mr Devgn ne prank play liya tha bhang daal ke usme (I got to know later that it was Mr Devgn who had played this prank),” said Jafferi.
Directed by Anshul Sharma, the cast of De De Pyaar De 2 includes Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, R Madhavan, Gautami Kapoor, Jaaved Jafferi, Meezaan Jaffri and Ishita Dutta.
