Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor doesn't really like to dress up, unlike his siblings Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor. While he has a style statement of his own, that's always been more casual than formal. However, when he showed up at his cousin Anshula Kapoor's engagement ceremony in a casual attire, the internet couldn't help but question his wardrobe choice. Harsh wore a white T-shirt, loose track pants, and a casual black jacket for the occasion. He also casually tied up his hair in a ponytail. "Yar shaumik yehi hain mai bol rahi hoon" (Guys, he's Shaumik, I'm telling you), commented a Reddit user, referring to the spoilt brat played by Divik Sharma in Aryan Khan's recent directorial debut show The Ba***ds of Bollywood, streaming on Netflix India. "Why not actually ask one of your sister’s stylists to find some clothes for your cousin’s wedding? This man," wrote another user, referring to Sonam, who's renowned for her fashion prowess. Her personal stylist is their sister Rhea, who's also known for her sharp styling skills. She's styled not only Sonam, but also A-list actors like Alia Batt and Kareena Kapoor. Harsh responded to the criticism and clarified his stance in the comments. "Some formal attires were sent to me, but since I've lost a lost of weight for an upcoming art project, to be shot at the end of this year and the beginning of the next, the clothes didn't fit right. With very little time left for the function and not wanting to be late, I decided to grab something basic and comfortable," wrote Harsh. "He wanted attention, clearly he's got it now. It's that simple," said another user. "Does he not own a pair of basic pants and a button-down shirt, worst case? I can’t believe traditional dress didn’t fit so the ONLY option was this travesty," remarked a third one. "To ye kaun sa fit kapda hai bhai? Ye bhi to dheela dhaala hai. Dheeli shewaani hi pehen leta! (How is this of the right fit either? He'd have rather worn a loose sherwani!)," argued a user. Harsh, son of Anil Kapoor, was last seen alongside his father in Raj Singh Chaudhary's action thriller Thar, which dropped on Netflix India in 2022. He also served as the producer along with Anil. The details of the art project he'll star in next haven't been officially announced yet.
