Dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is set to go back to its first home - Sony TV. The Indian version of BBC's Dancing with the Stars, the show launched in 2006 and moved to Colors in the year 2012. After 10 years, it would be now back on Sony, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it a 'grand' comeback. Sources close to the show shared with indianexpress.com that the team has been meeting actively with celebrities to lock them as contestants. They have reached out to almost all the popular television actors and even social media stars. As for judges, the makers have reached out to Malaika Arora and Farah Khan, while the search is on for the third one. "Both Farah Khan and Malaika Arora have been associated with the show previously. They too have shown interest and final talks are taking place. The team is toying with the idea about whether they should get a choreographer or a filmmaker like Karan Johar to join the panel," the source shared. Malaika and Farah did not respond to our queries till the time of filing the story. Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa contestants As for contestants, names like Manisha Rani, Shiv Thakar, Sumbul Touqeer, and Shivangi Joshi are said to be confirmed. Actors Surbhi Jyoti, Surbhi Chandna and Urvashi Dholakia have also been approached for the reality show. Others like Ayesha Singh, Daisy Shah and Neil Bhatt, who were said to be entering Bigg Boss 17 have now decided to toy with the option of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Clarity about confirmed participants would come in a couple of days," the source added. The last season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa was won by Gunjan Sinha, while social media star Faisal Shaikh and popular TV actor Rubina Dilaik were announced the first and second runners-up, respectively. The show was judged by Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit and Nora Fatehi, while Maniesh Paul was the host.
