Esha Deol requests for ‘kindness’ after father Dharmendra’s death, says she is still ‘grieving’: ‘A loss I would never get over’
Esha Deol said she is still grieving her father Dharmendra's loss, and requested people to be 'kind' and 'understanding' to her.

The veteran actor passed away on November 24, after a brief illness. On Friday, Esha took to her Instagram handle and expressed her desire to take a break from social media for a while. She also mentioned resuming her work commitments, after putting them on hold for some time.
Taking to her Instagram handle, the actor wrote a note, which read, “I had kept a few work commitments on hold for a long time which I would be posting & sharing with you all now in the coming days. Please understand me as a human & most importantly as a daughter who is still grieving the loss of her most loving precious father.”
Requesting people to be more kind, she further added, “A loss I would never get over. If I had things my way I would wish to not be on this platform for sometime and just take a break. But I can’t do that. So try & be kind and understanding. Thank you for the love & support always… love you all.”

After Dharmendra passed away last month, Hema Malini and her daughters held a prayer meet for the late star in New Delhi. Several notable personalities attended the service, including high-profile politicians and celebrities. Remembering her dad Dharmendra on his 90th birthday on December 8, Esha Deol promised to continue his legacy forward.
Her emotional note read, “I so painfully miss you papa … your warm, protective hugs that felt like the cosiest blanket , holding your soft yet strong hands which had unspoken messages & your voice calling out my name that followed with endless conversations , laughter & shayaris . Your motto “ always be humble , be happy, healthy & strong. I promise to continue your legacy with pride & respect. And I will try my best to spread your love to the millions who love you as I do. I love you papa.”

Earlier, his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol also hosted a prayer meet in Mumbai. It was attended by many Bollywood celebs, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Malaika Arora, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Rekha, Jackie Shroff and Suniel Shetty.
