Fans of Shah Rukh Khan have a reason to cheer as the first song of his upcoming film, Dunki is out now. Titled, “Lutt Putt Gaya,” the romantic number is picturised on the actor and his ladylove in the film, Taapsee Pannu. Sung by Arijit Singh and composed by Pritam, the song has lyrics by Swanand Kirkire and IP Singh.

In the song, SRK’s character Hardy looks head over heels in love with Taapsee’s Manu. In a dream sequence, Hardy is expressing his love for Manu while dancing around his village. Choreographer Ganesh Acharya has given SRK some unusual dance steps which might make you miss the staple SRK style of dancing.

While the audio of the song might grow on you, when it comes to visuals, the best parts are those where Shah Rukh is not dancing. The last shot of Hardy lovingly staring at Manu while she is saying her prayers at a gurdwara is the highlight of the song. It reminds you how good Shah Rukh is at romancing his leading ladies.

The song was shared with the description, “When Manu stands up for Hardy against the world, he can’t help but be smitten by her. Watch him as his feelings for Manu transform him into a hopeless romantic. Presenting #LuttPuttGaya.”

On Tuesday, SRK teased his fans about the song as he shared its poster and wrote along with it, “Tere Dil Mein Tent Lagaunga Tere Ishq mein Goteh Khaunga Main toh gaya… Lutt Putt Gaya 30 days to the journey of Love….#Dunki. #DunkiDrop2 – #LuttPuttGaya song out tomorrow!”

Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki is “a saga of friendships, borders, nostalgia for home and love.” Earlier, the makers unveiled a teaser of the film titled Dunki Drop 1. While releasing Drop 1, Shah Rukh promised that the next few drops would make the viewers happy. He said, “When you see the next few pieces of the film, you will feel happy. I saw the film a few days back. I feel happy when the people around who sit with me to watch the film feel happy with the film and in this film, I can sense that everyone from all ages will like it.”

Dunki comes after the massive success of Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh’s previous releases of the year. The actor returned to the silver screen after a long gap of four years but made up for them by entertaining his fans with action thrillers. However, Dunki is a shift from the intense action and is all “funny and emotional”. It will have SRK singing, dancing and romancing.

Dunki, also starring Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal, will hit the theatres on December 21.

After Trump doubles tariff, India’s strategy: Remain quiet, don’t give in, wait it out
Explained8 min ago

US President Donald Trump may have doubled the tariffs on India to 50 per cent, but New Delhi is not alarmed or unduly perturbed; rather the government seems to be prepared to wait it out for the next few weeks or more — deal with his increasing frustration by remaining calm.

It has taken an unequivocal call that Trump cannot tell India not to trade with Russia or distance itself from BRICS.
