Dhanashree Verma says Yuzvendra Chahal was her ‘everything’ at one point, recalls professional differences caused a rift: ‘Even his industry knows the truth’

Actress Dhanashree Verma formally dissolved her marriage with cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal a few months ago. Since the split, Yuzvendra has painted a negative image of his ex-wife. Now, Dhanashree has begun sharing her side of the story. In the latest episode of the reality show Rise and Fall, she revealed that Yuzvendra did not respect her professional commitments and explained why she chose to remain silent despite the mudslinging.

During a conversation, Nayandeep Rakshit asked Dhanashree about the accusations leveled against her by her ex-husband Yuzvendra. She said, “I have a lot to say, and if I start duniya aarpar ho jaaegi. I know my truth. My people, the entire industry, even that industry knows the truth. Then why should I keep justifying myself to common people whom I don’t even know?” Later, Nayandeep mentioned how he read about the couple having differences over Dhanashree’s wish to move to Mumbai. She replied, “When two people are professionally bound, they have some requirements, so you cannot stay home. He wasn’t home most of the time. Then you also want to spend time with your partner. The only way to do that is by travelling. And then you have to remove some time for the family. In so little time, lining up so many things is not possible.”

“It’s unfair for just one person to keep juggling; everyone needs to adjust. Everyone needs to make a career and a name for themselves. I work for my family. I have so many responsibilities, so I need to work for it. And I cannot just work 3-4 days and sit,” Dhanashree added.

Nayandeep also asked Dhanashree Verma how much time she took to realize that her marriage was not working. Dhanashree replied, “I just have one theory in life: at some point, that person was my everything. I had huge respect for him. I want to keep that intact even now because that’s how I have been brought up. A lot of people told me silence will play against you. Is it? No, it’s not. I am happy.”

Later in the day, Dhanashree was seen telling Aditya Narayan and Arbaz Patel that she didn’t appreciate Nayandeep Rakshit asking her questions about her personal life. Aditya added that he was on the show only to record a podcast and nothing more.
