Deepika Padukone yelled ‘Who’s this?’ after Nilu Kohli accidentally sprayed water on her face: ‘She actually looks like a Goddess’

Actor Nilu Kohli has collaborated with several A-listers in the Hindi film industry throughout her career. In a recent interaction, she recalled her first meeting with Deepika Padukone on the sets of Break Ke Baad in Mauritius and how she was left awestruck by her beauty. Nilu also spoke about Anushka Sharma’s simplicity and how the actor remains grounded on set, free from any starry tantrums.

Speaking to Hindi Rush, Nilu recounted an incident where her love for plants unintentionally landed her in trouble with Deepika. She shared. “We were shooting for Break Ke Baad in Mauritius. There was this huge bouquet that was there on the set and during the shoot from morning to evening, the bouquet was drying up. So, out of my love for plants, I was trying to water the bouquet. Suddenly this voice came, ‘Who is this?’ and I looked and it was Deepika Padukone sitting on the other end. The water that I was spraying on the bouquet fell on her face. I looked at her and was awestruck. She actually looks like a Goddess. I just said sorry.”

Nilu Kohli also reminisced about working with Anushka Sharma on the sets of Patiala House. Praising Anushka’s down-to-earth nature, she described how the Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi star was warm and approachable, blending seamlessly with the cast and crew. She said, “Anushka is very simple. We only make them bigger than what they are. She was very down-to-earth and simple. She was very much like us, sitting and chatting with everyone.”

On the professional front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. After welcoming her daughter, Dua, last year, she has made several public appearances but has yet to announce her next project. Anushka Sharma, on the other hand, has been away from the silver screen for a long time, with her last film being Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero (2018).
