Archana Puran Singh taught both sons to be vegetarians, Aaryamann says can’t even kill a mosquito: ‘I let them bite me; I say a prayer if…’
Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi's son Aaryamann Sethi says he has never killed a mosquito or spider in his life. If he ends up stepping on one by mistake, he says a small prayer. He said these are his mother's values.

Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi’s son Aaryamann Sethi is currently in Bengaluru, shooting for his very first advertisement. While he had already informed his subscribers about the project in an earlier vlog, his latest video takes viewers through his experience of working outside his home for the first time–and that too in an entirely new city. Both Archana and her family have found a new audience via their blog; and now Aaryamann has started his own vlog that follows his life and journey.
In the vlog, Aaryamann spoke candidly about life on set, especially when it came to food. He revealed how his mother, veteran actress Archana Puran Singh, inspired him to embrace vegetarianism. Sharing an incident, he recalled how the spot boy on set was surprised to learn he was vegetarian. “People often tell me, ‘You don’t look like a vegetarian.’ How can you tell by looking at someone? Some even joke that I look like tangdi kebab would be my favourite dish. But the truth is, I can’t even kill a mosquito. I genuinely let them bite me. I have never killed an ant or even a spider,” he said.
Reflecting on his philosophy, Aaryamann added, “I believe it’s not my decision to take someone else’s life. And whenever I accidentally hurt or kill a being, I say a small prayer. I apologise and wish for their soul’s peace. I say things like, ‘Bless your soul, I hope you find your way.’ That’s the way my mom raised us–me, Ayushmaan, and herself. She taught us, ‘Why would you ever want to kill anything?’ And that thought has stayed with me.”
Apart from sharing his values, Aaryamann also gave fans a peek into the realities of his first ad shoot. Unlike the glamorous image many hold, he revealed that he wasn’t given a personal vanity van and had to share one with co-actors. However, he said he was not complaining and was quite happy to find work. “It’s already lunch time and I haven’t given my first shot yet. They called me way too early. Let’s see what they have sent for lunch–neer dosa, curd rice, some dal, and a bit of rice. There’s paneer too, but it’s from outside, so I am a little suspicious about it. The food is okay, but I skipped the paneer,” he said with a laugh. For those who follow vlogs, Aaryamann’s love for paneer is well established. As the family shot for their vlog in India and abroad, the star son always finds his beloved paneer everywhere.
