Boney Kapoor says Anil Kapoor is angry with him over not casting him in No entry sequel: ‘There was no space’
Boney Kapoor said that Anil Kapoor got angry after learning about No Entry sequel. The original film was released in 2005.

Producer Boney Kapoor has opened up about his decision of not casting brother-actor Anil Kapoor in the upcoming No entry sequel. Boney expressed his dismay about the news of casting getting out and mentioned that Anil is upset with him over not casting him in the film. The original film starred Anil, Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu and Celina Jaitly in pivotal roles.
In an interview with Zoom Entertainment, Boney said, “Before I could tell my brother Anil about the No Entry sequel and the cast involved, he got angry as the news was already leaked. It was unfortunate that it was leaked. I know he wanted to be a part of the No Entry sequel, but there was no space. I wanted to explain why I did what I did.”
The producer explained his casting choices and said that he wanted to make the film relevant. He said, “Varun and Arjun are great friends. Their chemistry could come out in the story, and Diljit is massive today. He has a great fan following. I wanted to make it relevant in today’s time. That’s why I did this casting. In the process, my brother is still not talking properly. I hope it all gets sorted out soon. Let’s see.”
A similar situation reportedly occurred when the remake of Shekhar Kapur’s 1987 film Mr India by Ali Abbas Zafar was announced. Sonam criticised the makers of the remake for disrespecting both her father and director Shekhar. Boney was the producer of the film. She also revealed that Anil was unaware of the remake of his successful film. Shekhar had told Mid-day, “When I questioned him, he (Boney) said nothing is set in stone. Anil was equally disturbed that he didn’t know about it.”
The original film, featuring Anil and Sridevi as the lead pair and Amrish Puri as the iconic villain Mogambo, remains a classic.
