Amy Jackson says her son encouraged her and Ed Westwick to get married: ‘He asked why aren’t you married to Ed?’

Amy Jackson opened up about her engagement with Ed Westwick in a recent interview. She will soon be seen in the Hindi film Crakk.

Amy Jackson, who will soon be seen in the film Crakk, recently opened up about her engagement with Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick and shared that it was her son Andreas who encouraged her and Ed to get married. Ed and Amy shared photos from their proposal on social media and surprised their fans. The two have been together since 2022.

Speaking to India Today, Amy shared that her son was only two-years-old when he first met Ed. “Andreas has known Ed since his whole existence. I think he was two when he was introduced to Ed. We were very good friends. And he’s been a part of his life for as long as he can remember. So, I think that’s one of the reasons I love Ed so much. It is because of the relationship he has with Andreas, and how supportive he is of me as a mother and as a working mom,” she said.

When asked about Andreas’ reaction to her engagement, Amy Jackson said that her son was “delighted”. “It was so funny, because a few months ago, I had a ring, and it was on this finger. And he was like, ‘Mummy, you’re not married?’ And he asked, ‘Why are you not married to Eddie mummy?’ I said, ‘He hasn’t asked me,’ and he said ‘Well, I am going to tell him,” she recalled.

Amy said that Andreas had approved of Ed even before he proposed to her. “I don’t know whether that was an encouragement from his side. He gave the green light even before Ed probably had it in his mind,” she said. Ed proposed to Amy in Switzerland.

Amy welcomed Andreas in 2019 with former partner George Panayioto. The actor has not appeared in any Indian films since 2018’s 2.0, starring Rajinikanth
