Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is a science graduate from Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College. He graduated in 1962 with a BSc degree. But studying science was more of a compulsion than a choice for the superstar.

During a latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, senior Bachchan revealed that he took BSc because he wasn’t getting admission anywhere. He even moved to Chandigarh, on a bicycle, for his graduation but nothing worked out there.

While interacting with Shaikh Ajmat, a contestant of KBC 15, Big B shared, “I wasn’t getting admission and I was searching for colleges in Delhi. Someone told me that I would get admission in Chandigarh. So, I went to Chandigarh on a cycle. Later, after searching more I finally got admission in Delhi. I took BSc and the first lecture was enough for me to understand that this isn’t my forte.”

The actor added he “mugged” up the help books to make sure he cleared his exams and completed his graduation. “After mugging up guide books I survived the three years and graduated with a BSc,” he shared. During an earlier episode, the actor had also revealed that he once failed his Physics exams.

He then said he was “horrified” to study BSc and added, “It wasn’t easy. I took the wrong subject. Somehow I tolerated it for three years. I used to mug up all the answers in two months. At first, I even failed my Physics exam. Then I appeared again and cleared it.”

Before becoming an actor, Amitabh Bachchan worked in a mining company near Kolkata. He moved to Mumbai and started working in the movies in 1969. It is been for more than five decades that he has been successfully entertaining the audience.

The actor will be next seen in Nag Ashwin’s directorial Kalki 2898 AD, also starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles. The film will hit the theatres in 2024.
