Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha have worked in several films together, including Dost, Kaala Patthar, Dostana, Shaan, and Naseeb, among others. The veteran actors share a personal bond with each other, that goes way beyond their professional relationship. However, the 70s superstars don't share the same work ethics. Around a year ago, the duo appeared as guests on an episode of ZeeTV's Yaaron Ki Baraat. In conversation with Sajid Khan and Reitesh Deshmukh, Amitabh had revealed interesting anecdotes from his experience of working with his close friend Shatrughan, who was not just unpunctual but also made the actor push his car when it broke down. Emphasising on the Kalicharan actor's lack of punctuality and casual attitude towards time, Big B shared, "He has many special qualities, which I can describe now as well, besides today. Everyone knows that he has a habit of coming very late everywhere. Today, he reached half an hour before me." After which Shatrughan laughed and added, "For the first time in life, I have reached before him." Amitabh recalled the time when he was shooting for both their films Shaan and Naseeb together with Shatrughan. "We used to work in shifts during our period of time. So, 7-2 was the film Shaan's shift and 2-10 was for Naseeb. Shaan's shooting used to happen in film city and Naseeb's filming was going on in Chandivali Studios, which had a revolving theatre. I used to reach at 7:00 am for the film's shoot and he used to reach by 11-12, and 2pm was packup time to head for the other shoot," he said. Mai nikal gaya 2 baje Chandivali Studio ke liye, ye mahashaya pahuch rahe 6 baje. Ek hi jagah se doosri jagah jaana hai, Kahan gaayab hojaate the? (He used to leave with me, but I used to reach by 2pm and he used to enter at 6pm. Leaving from the same place to reach the same place, but where would you disappear?)" While one would think that with Amitabh Bachchan's stature, things would be different around him. It was actually the opposite with his friend and peer Shatrughan Sinha. He narrated an incident where he literally pushed the latter's car when it broke down on Mumbai roads. "Moreover, we had only one car, which was owned by him. Ek chhoti si, tooti phooti gaadi thi. For example, if we were travelling from Bandra to Colaba to watch a film. We all used to sit together in the car and it used to often break down mid way. He used to sit in the car and ask us to push the car. I used to get down and push the car at Marine drive, while he was relaxing in the car and asking to push properly," he shared. The veteran actor went on to reveal that Shatrughan is never on time. "Be it any film, flight, or event, he has never reached on time. If you travel with him, he is so relaxed and not at all stressed about catching the flight. People have to push him to board after the last call, when flight is just about to take off," he smiled and expressed.
