Amitabh Bachchan blames fashion trends for trouser mishap during fan meet at Jalsa: ‘Ye aajkal ki peedhee…’

Every Sunday, Amitabh Bachchan continues the tradition of stepping out of his Mumbai bungalow, Jalsa, to meet a crowd of fans eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of the actor. This past Sunday was no exception. However, Amitabh took to social media to share a humorous incident from his routine meet-and-greet with fans.

Amitabh shared two pictures of himself greeting fans. At first glance, there might not seem to be anything unusual about the pictures. But his amusing caption draws attention to the string of his trouser. In his Instagram post, Amitabh revealed that someone had pointed out that the string of his trouser was hanging out. However, he humorously blamed it on the fashion choices of the current generation. In Hindi, he wrote, “Seeing the picture, someone said, ‘Bhaisaheb, your string is hanging,’ and I replied, ‘Bhaisaheb, there’s no string; this is today’s generation’s fashion.'”

Previously, Amitabh had explained the reason behind his regular meetings with fans. He mentioned that he has placed four containers of drinking water for those who wait outside in the heat. “I felt they wait for hours in this sweltering heat, so to provide them drinking water with lime to quench their thirst .. 4 containers, 2 on either side of the gate .. over and above the ‘matka’ that is permanently there during the day and night,” he wrote in his blog.

Amitabh also shared that he greets his fans barefoot. When some people sarcastically commented about him going out without wearing socks and with bare feet, he explained his reasoning. He compared the act to visiting a temple barefoot and stated that his well-wishers are his temple.

Currently, Amitabh Bachchan is hosting the quiz-based reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 15. He also has several films in the pipeline, including Kalki 2898 AD, Ganapath, and Butterfly.
