What is the most expensive thing Cristiano Ronaldo has ever bought? It is not a car, not a yacht – but a custom private jet, worth $75 million. With his busy travel schedule and need for privacy, Ronaldo said owning a jet is a practical choice that allows him to move efficiently and securely around the world.
“I can buy whatever I want, but I don’t need it,” Ronaldo said in an interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored, adding that he had a dream to become a billionaire, which he fulfilled last year as he turned 39.
However, the lavish purchase was less a luxury and more a necessity, considering the athlete frequently travels around the world for work.
In the interview, the footballer shared that a year ago, he bought a Bombardier Global Express XRS, replacing the $22 million Gulfstream G200 jet he bought back in 2015. The g200 is 15 years old now, and can seat 14 passengers and sleep up to 5. The aircraft was refurbished last year and has a current market value of $57 million.
Powered by twin Rolls-Royce engines, the custom jet can reach speeds of over 600 mph and features a fully customised interior with Wi-Fi, a kitchen, and luxurious seating for long flights. Ronaldo explained that while many see it as extravagant, for him, it is simply part of managing a demanding global career. The craft has been customised in a slate grey shade, with his initials CR7 next to the door and a silhouette of his signature celebratory pose brandished on the surface.

The athlete currently owns over 40 luxury cars, including some iconic wheels like the Bugatti Centodieci, a McLaren Senna, five Ferraris and a Mercedes G-Wagon Brabus he was gifted for his 35th birthday. In fact, Ronaldo also bought a $7 million yacht in 2020 to celebrate winning a second consecutive Serie A title with the Italian football team Juventus. The Azimut Grande is a humongous vessel with five bedrooms and six bathrooms.
Despite his passion for supercars, the footballer considers the jet to be his most functional investment. It is a reflection of both his success and need for convenience at the highest level of sport.
