Exes Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon hug at an event, compliment Shilpa Shetty for her ‘classy style’

In another video, Raveena is seen presenting an award to Akshay. The actor walks on stage to collect the award and exchanges hugs with Raveena, as the duo get talking again.

Social media users were taken aback by visuals of the duo meeting and greeting each other. “Yeh kya dekh liya…. Asaaammmmbhavvvv !!! 😂 (What have you shown, this is impossible),” wrote one user, while another added, “This shows as time passes things get better itself and you move on in life.. so don’t take today’s heart break too hard on yourself … you would be laughing on it 10 years down the road ❤️❤️”

The event also saw actor Shilpa Shetty in attendance. She was rumoured to be in a relationship with Akshay in the 90s. During a rapid fire round, when asked who was the Malaika Arora of the 90s, Akshay said Mamta Kulkarni. Raveena, who was standing next to him on stage, took a pause and said, “Yeah I guess so,” to which Akshay asked her, “Tere dimag mein kuch aur hai (Do you have any other name)?”

Raveena then said Malaika always had an “amazing style”, to which Akshay pulled her leg yet again and said, “This is not politics, give a straight answer!” Raveena said, “It could be Shilpa! She has always had a really classy style,” as Akshay was seen nodding to her answer.

Raveena had previously opened up about her relationship with Akshay and their engagement which was later called off. In an interview with ANI, when she was asked about the Akshay Kumar chapter, and how it’s still something that is mentioned whenever her name is googled. She said, “It comes up, and it comes up like there’s a war between everyone whom he’s involved with. Hello, once I had moved out of his life, I was already dating someone else, and he was already dating someone else, so kahan se jealousy ayegi (where will jealousy come from)?

“We were a hit pair, during Mohra, and even now, when we bump into each other socially, we all meet, we all chat. Everyone moves on. Girls have been changing their boyfriends every week in colleges, but one engagement that has broken is still stuck to my head, I don’t know why. Everyone moves on, people have divorces, they move on, what’s the big deal?”
